I met Ben van Berkel when I made a film for Wallpaper magazine. But his work, I knew a lot longer. He created the symbol of my city: the Erasmusbridge. As born-and-raised Rotterdammer, I remember clearly the impact this bridge had on the city. My mother told me it was tó beautiful. My friends dad ‘was the first one to cycle over it.
